Why this shop
Narrow on purpose
Plenty of companies will take a Sub-Zero call. Fewer of them own gauges, and fewer still will pull a panel-ready column out of custom millwork without leaving a mark on it.
- Sealed systems, not just swaps Compressors, condensers and refrigerant charge diagnosed under gauges. Most shops in the area stop at the fan motor and hand the rest back to you.
- Built-in and integrated only We work on Sub-Zero columns, drawers and wine storage all day. No dishwashers, no laundry, no learning your kitchen on your invoice.
- Price agreed before we start A firm parts-and-labour figure after the assessment. The flat $89 service call comes off it when you approve the repair.
- The plateau is the route Sammamish is not an outer edge of somebody else’s Seattle map. It is where the van starts, which is why morning calls here get same-day slots.
Neighborhoods
Booked by neighborhood, not by zip radius
The van starts on the plateau, so these four pockets get the earliest slots. Each page covers the Sub-Zero installations that are common there.

Sahalee

Trossachs

How a call runs
Three stages, no surprises in between
The same sequence on every Sammamish job, whether it is a ten-minute fan motor or a sealed-system rebuild.
-
01 Tell us what it is doing
Model and serial off the plate inside the fresh-food door, plus what the unit is actually doing and for how long. Half the time that alone narrows the fault to two or three parts, and the right ones ride out on the van.
-
02 Diagnose it on site
Cabinet and evaporator temperatures logged, defrost circuit tested through a full cycle, airflow and door seals checked, sealed system read under gauges if the symptoms point that way. You get the actual cause, not a parts-swap guess.
-
03 Repair, then prove it
Once you approve the number the work goes in and the unit is run back down to spec before we leave. You see the readings yourself — nobody drives away on a promise that it will be fine by morning.
$89 service call, credited in full against the repair the moment you approve it.

Sub-Zero Wine Cooler Zones Drifting Apart: What to Check
When the upper zone of a Sub-Zero wine unit holds and the lower one will not come down, the cause is usually airflow, a tired door seal or a single failed sensor — not the compressor. Here is how to tell which. Read it -
Sub-Zero Freezer Frosting Over Again? Read the Ice First
Frost that returns within weeks of a manual defrost is almost never a door left open. Here is how to read the ice pattern in a Sub-Zero freezer column and work out which part of the defrost circuit has quit. Read it

After a power cut up here the temperature began swinging several degrees a day. He read the control board, found a thermistor drifting badly, and changed that rather than the entire board. Rock steady since.
Odette L.TrossachsAug 2025 Cubes were coming out hollow and then fusing into one lump. The inlet screen was half blocked, so the fill tube kept freezing. Screen cleared, tube heater replaced, and he stayed for two harvests.
Winnie F.SahaleeSep 2025 Water kept collecting under the crisper drawers and I was mopping every third day. The defrost drain had plugged with sludge. He cleared it, flushed it, then ran a whole cycle while I watched. Bone dry since.

Before you call
Questions we get every week
If yours is not here, ask it on the phone — nobody is billed for a question.
(425) 610-8986How quickly can someone get out to a Sammamish address?
The plateau is our home route, so Klahanie, Pine Lake, Sahalee and Trossachs calls booked before noon are usually seen the same day. Anything logged in the evening gets the first slot the following morning.
Is it worth repairing a twenty-year-old built-in?
Usually yes. A Sub-Zero 600 or 700 series was engineered for a thirty-year service life, and the parts that fail at twenty years — evaporator fans, defrost heaters, thermistors, door gaskets — are inexpensive next to a replacement column and days of cabinetry work.
Can you take a panel-ready column out without damaging the cabinetry?
Yes. Integrated and panel-ready installations come out on the factory procedure, panels off first, hinges released in order, and the surrounding trim protected. Plateau kitchens are full of custom millwork and we plan the pull before anything moves.
What does the visit cost?
A flat $89 service call covers the trip and the full assessment, and it comes off the invoice in full if you approve the repair. You see the parts-and-labour number before a single screw comes out.
When can I actually reach someone?
The phone is answered 24/7, so a fridge that fails at two in the morning gets logged rather than forgotten. The crew is on the road 8:00 am – 8:00 pm, seven days, which is the window your slot will fall inside.
Do you carry Sub-Zero parts on the van?
The common failure items travel with us: evaporator fan motors, defrost heaters and terminators, thermistors, door gaskets, water inlet valves and the widely used control boards. Sealed-system components and model-specific panels are ordered against your serial number.
My unit is still under warranty. Should I call you?
If the factory warranty is live, call Sub-Zero first — that work should not cost you anything. We are an independent shop, so we pick up units that are out of warranty, orphaned by a builder, or where you simply want a second opinion.

Tell us the model and what it is doing
Two lines is usually enough to know which parts to load. Calls placed before noon on the Sammamish plateau are normally seen the same day.
